Adopt a Roadway

The City of Banning’s Adopt-A-Roadway Program (AARP) was approved by the City Council on October 22, 2019. AARP allows organizations, business, non-profits, families, churches, and individuals to adopt local blocks of streets and keep them litter-free. There are 17 designated streets in Downtown Banning eligible for adoption (see list and map). An adopted roadway is to be cleaned once every 3 months (4 times per year) to maintain a healthy environment. Not only does the City provide all of the tools you may need, but groups will be rewarded with a sign of recognition on their adopted roadway! The Adopt-A-Roadway Program is a wonderful way to give back to your community while enjoying the benefits of cleaner downtown streets.

Applications are currently being accepted and may be submitted to the Community Development Department at Banning City Hall or emailed to Please direct all questions to the Community Development Department, which may be reached by phone at 951-922-3125 or by email at
