Sheri Flynn - Council Member

Sheri Flynn

District #3

Biography – Council Member Sheri Flynn

Council Member Sheri Flynn represents the residents of the City of Banning’s 3rd District.   Sheri is a native Californian who moved to the City of Banning in 2019 after having lived in Orange County for almost 40 years, where she raised 3 children who have all successfully gone on to graduate from college.

Sheri is most proud of her family’s almost 30-year legacy in the City of Banning where her parents actively supported the annual Stagecoach Days, the Banning Lions Club, and numerous other citywide philanthropic organizations.

Sheri received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from Cal Poly, Pomona, where she also minored in Chemistry with an emphasis on Medical Technology. Her science background would afford her the opportunity to work in the field as a Laboratory Technologist at numerous medical centers where she performed analytical testing in the departments of Clinical and General Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology & Immunology.

For over a decade Sheri successfully volunteered her time in Anaheim Hills as a community activist to redirect Mello-Roos funding for the creation of two elementary schools, a police substation, a community center and expanding neighborhood parks; it was that same passion that guided Sheri to run for 3rd District City Council.

Her passion for community revitalization extends to re-envisioning Downtown Banning as a destination for residents and visitors who are seeking an old town experience coupled with economic revitalization.

Sheri continues her commitment to support public safety units to protect communities south of Interstate 10 to ensure an expanded presence in police and fire while fighting diligently for resources to reduce overall crime throughout the city.

As an individual that has spent several years of her career in direct customer service, she continues to work tirelessly for the residents of Banning as an advocate for fiscal responsibility, transparency, and community revitalization where she looks to “Set Banning on a New Path of Progress!”
